How to Make This Recipe

If you’re in doubt, pesto it up! HTE is a staunch believer that pesto, even the worst pesto, when bulked up with bamboo fibres and potato flakes, can make everything great, including bad things.

Ingredients

Raw salad elements (tomato, cucumber, celery, the dreaded grated carrot, and onion) do not work with pasta salads, which is a bit perplexing to me. This isn’t your typical garden salad into which you may toss some macaroni and cheese. Thankfully, the bizarre practice of serving pasta salads on a bed of rocket has also mostly died out as a result of this. Salads made with cured, processed, or cooked items must have a firm and distinct texture (no slimy spinach, mushy green beans, or flabby mushrooms), and they must be served cold in order to keep their flavor and freshness after being refrigerated.

For example, if you were to use meat, you would not include woolly, flavorless shredded chicken, costly prosciutto, or bacon.

However, you could easily toss a few spicy sausages into a pasta salad or cook some chorizo, with the added benefit of the oil produced being able to be utilized as the foundation for your dressing.
