Toss with parmesan cheese before serving.
FRESH TOMATOBASIL SAUCE (POMAROLA):

TOMATO SPAGHETTI (SPAGHETTI NAPOLITANA):
- Heat the oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Simmer until the garlic is fragrant, then add the onion and cook until it is softened, about 5 minutes. After that, add the canned tomatoes and 1/2 cup water and cook for 5 minutes. Toss with the pasta and the boiling water according to the Base Directions. PASTA WITH TUNA (SPAGHETTI AL TONNO):
- Heat the oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Cook until the garlic is aromatic, about 30 seconds. Add the onion and heat until softened, then add the canned tomatoes and 1/2 cup water and simmer until the tomatoes are mushy. Cook for 3 minutes after which you may add the tuna. Toss with the pasta and the boiling water according to the Base Directions. Add in the parsley and toss well. In most cases, seafood pasta is not served with parmesan, although you may if you choose.
- Tomatoes in a can – not all canned tomatoes are made equal, as the saying goes. Poor quality ones are acidic and typically include unripe tomatoes, but good quality ones are naturally sweet and have a stronger tomato flavor. Sugar can be used to sweeten tomatoes if necessary. Boiling water with 1 tablespoon salt- make a large pot of water and add 1 tablespoon salt to it. While cooking, stir the pasta once or twice more
- Time the pasta so that it is finished cooking when the sauce is ready. The pasta will clump together and become hard as it cools if you leave it in a colander after it has been cooked. The ideal method is to use tongs to transfer it directly from the boiling water into the sauce – no colander is required
- And To release stuck-together pasta, use a dash of the leftover pasta boiling water (do not rinse it with tap water, since this would remove the starch that prevents the sauce from adhering to the pasta). A trickle of oil can also be used as an alternative – sprinkle and toss while still heated.

What to Serve with Pasta Recipes
These dishes may all be served as complete dinners on their own, but they’re particularly excellent when served with a side of something fresh. I particularly enjoy serving pasta with my Caesar salad, classic Caprese salad, or Greek salad, but any of these popular salad recipes will pair perfectly with the quick pasta dishes above. Alternatively, you could offer a roasted vegetable in place of the salad. Roasted broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, and Brussels sprouts are all excellent accompaniments to pasta.
Greetings and best wishes!

Pasta Recipes: Linguine with Lemon
Preparation time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: 30 minutes Time allotted: 35 minutes Serves2
- Arugula, fresh thyme, 1 cup roasted tomatoes, 3 ounces fresh mozzarella, torn, 14 cup toasted pine nuts, 12 cup fresh basil, or dollops of pesto, 6 ounces linguine pasta, 1 1/2 cups arugula, 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, 4 very thin lemon slices, 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, minced garlic, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 6 ounces lingu Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper are both excellent choices.
- Prepare a small baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and preheating the oven to 350°F
- Place the lemon slices on a baking sheet and set aside. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they’re golden brown around the edges, depending on how large they are. Set the lemons aside after they have been finely minced. The olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and 14 teaspoon sea salt should be mixed together in the bottom of a medium-sized (cold) saucepan. Cook the pasta according to the package guidelines, until it is al dente (firm to the bite). 14 cup of the pasta boiling water should be set aside. Toss the heated pasta into the saucepan with the conserved pasta water, the arugula, and a pinch of salt and pepper. If necessary, gently cook the dish until the arugula wilts and the pasta is heated all the way through. Toss in the herbs, tomatoes, and lemons until well combined. Add the mozzarella, pine nuts, and basil on top and mix well. Toss gently, season with salt and pepper, and serve.

How to Store and Reheat Pasta
Any of these simple pasta dishes may be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days after they have been allowed to cool to room temperature. Most of these are also freezer-friendly, so you can keep them in the freezer for up to three months! If you have leftover stovetop spaghetti, you may reheat it on the stovetop on medium-low heat until it is thoroughly heated. The sauce may require a dash of water because it has most likely thickened while being kept in the refrigerator.

Rich Pasta for the Poor Kitchen
This is a fantastic dish that I discovered after watching something similar on television. To make things even easier, you may cook your noodles, drain them, and then pour a small amount of the noodle water into the final serving dish before serving. To that water, add your butter, spices, and the garlic that has been chilled. In a separate bowl, combine the still-hot spaghetti and your leafy green vegetable of choice (I use a little raw basil or a lot of raw spinach depending on the season) into the buttery mixture.
Cheese can be added now, or it can be served later on the side at the table (I use asiago, a little goes a long way and it keeps forever).

A really simple recipe that can be served with nearly any meat dish—I like to serve it with grilled chicken breasts when I have the opportunity.
A “take for granted” spaghetti meal that has been a fixture in my diet for the most of my adult life is easy, basic, and humble.
- For myself (and, I imagine, for many other Italians), a mix of olive oil and butter is my favorite.
- Cook to taste, adding a little of the starchy pasta cooking water if necessary to make this creamy and moist, especially if you mix the pasta with the cheese before serving rather than sprinkling it on top right before you serve the dish.
- It was fantastic!
- Because my husband and I were both famished and didn’t want to spend a lot of time preparing supper, and because the weather was so hot, this dish was excellent, easy, and delicious!
This is a pretty easy dish that is also extremely tasty.
The only true modification I did (and it’s more of an addition than a modification) was to toast some fresh bread crumbs (I keep a bag of them in the freezer) and put them on top before baking.
If you want the greatest results, make sure to use freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano.
Advertisement Very well done.
- I’ve made this with chopped roma tomatoes and a dab of olive oil, and it’s delicious.
- In addition, I enjoy onions, so I like to sprinkle a little of onion powder on top of the dish.
- Combine the ingredients for a delicious scampi-style pasta sauce.
- Hubby was skeptical that the peas would be effective, but they turned out to be.
22 Easy Pasta Recipes That Use Ingredients You Already Have
Even in the best of circumstances, simple pasta dishes are a lifesaver on a regular basis. Because we are living in certainly less-than-optimal circumstances, pasta is nothing short of a shelf-stablemiracle—it provides food as well as comfort, convenience, and adaptability for the stressed-out, hungry people who are cooking at home more than ever in these trying times. Given the fact that going to the grocery store these days is equivalent to going into combat, it’s a good idea to have some pasta dishes on hand that you can cook without breaking social barriers or donning protective gear—i.e., using what you already have in your pantry or refrigerator.
There are also some non-traditional items in there as well, such lemons, garlic butter, Parmesan cheese, and even more garlic.
Using frozen broccoli in place of the peas, Parmesan in place of the pecorino, and whatever pasta form you happen to have on hand.you get the idea.
